Renovation that redefines space—and the way we live within it.

A 20-year-old, two-unit townhouse that once served merely as an ordinary living space has been reinterpreted through a design concept that goes beyond a simple “renovation.” Instead, it aims to create a new experience—allowing residents to perceive and feel the transformation of the original space in a meaningful way.

The concept began by questioning the boundaries of the existing layout. Bedrooms, living areas, and the kitchen—once divided without clear proportion—were reconfigured in both position and scale to create a fluid relationship between functions. Selected parts of the house were opened into double-height spaces, introducing natural light and voids into the interior to reduce a sense of confinement while enhancing spatial perception with depth and dimension.

บ้านทาวน์เฮาส์อายุ 20 ปี สองคูหาที่เคยเป็นเพียงพื้นที่อยู่อาศัยธรรมดา ถูกตีความใหม่ผ่านแนวคิดการออกแบบที่ต้องการมากกว่าการ “รีโนเวต”
เพื่อใช้งานได้ แต่คือการสร้างประสบการณ์ใหม่ให้ผู้อยู่อาศัยได้รู้สึกถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงของพื้นที่เดิมอย่างมีนัยยะ

แนวคิดเริ่มต้นจากการตั้งคำถามกับ “ขอบเขตของพื้นที่เดิม” ห้องนอน ห้องนั่งเล่น ห้องครัว ที่เคยถูกแบ่งแยกอย่างไม่เป็นสัดส่วน
การออกแบบจึงเลือกที่จะปรับตำแหน่งและสัดส่วนของแต่ละพื้นที่ใหม่ เพื่อให้เกิดความสัมพันธ์ที่ลื่นไหลระหว่างฟังก์ชันการใช้งาน พร้อมทั้งเปิดช่องว่าง double space ในบางส่วนของบ้าน เพื่อสร้างพื้นที่ว่างและแสงเข้าสู่ภายในอาคาร ลดความอึดอัดและเพิ่มมิติของการรับรู้ใหม่
